CREATiVITY AND CHANGE
About The CREATiVE JOURNEY

ABOUT
Where It Began
The CREATiVE JOURNEY grew out of one person’s need to find a way through change.
Over time, its creator, Leda van der Post, came to see that creativity was not simply a form of expression, but a practical way of navigating periods of uncertainty. A way of staying present when familiar ways no longer held, and of finding direction when answers were not yet clear.
This understanding sits at the centre of The CREATiVE JOURNEY today, shaping how its approach is offered and facilitated.

ORiGiNS
From Experience to Process
The CREATiVE JOURNEY did not begin as a method or a program.
It developed gradually through creative practice, teaching, and facilitation across different contexts and stages of life. Again and again, creative exploration provided a reliable way of making sense of complex situations and finding a way forward.
Over time, these ways of working were examined and refined, becoming a clear creative process that could be shared with others navigating their own moments of change.
CREATiVE PRACTiCE
Creativity as Engagement
At the heart of The CREATiVE JOURNEY is a simple understanding of why people get stuck.
Most difficulty in moving forward does not come from a lack of ideas or options, but from being disconnected from what feels true, important, or meaningful. When thinking alone takes over, emotion and values are often left out of the picture.
The CREATiVE JOURNEY brings these elements back into the conversation. Through writing, storytelling, creative journalling, and imaginative exploration, people reconnect with what they feel and value, and begin to see their situation from a different perspective. From there, clarity and movement tend to follow in ways that feel grounded and sustainable.

FACiLiTATiON
Holding the Space
The CREATiVE JOURNEY is facilitated by Leda van der Post.
Her background spans art and design, education, technology, and many years of working with people in learning and creative settings. What matters most here, however, is not professional history, but the ability to hold a space that is focused, supportive, and responsive.
The role of the facilitator is to guide the process, not to lead the thinking. Insight and direction emerge through creative exploration, as participants draw on their own experience and imagination.

Why the CREATiVE JOURNEY
Periods of transition often call for a different way of engaging.
When familiar roles change or circumstances shift, approaches based on problem-solving alone can fall short. What’s needed is space to think, feel, and imagine at the same time.
The CREATiVE JOURNEY offers this kind of space. One that supports thoughtful engagement with change, and movement forward that feels grounded and sustainable.
An Invitation
The CREATiVE JOURNEY is an invitation to engage with change creatively.
It is for those who sense they are at a threshold, and who want a way of exploring what comes next through attention, imagination, and creative practice.
